Custom Logo Bags: How Private-Label Wholesale Bag Orders Work

Adding your own brand to a factory style is the most direct route into private label bags: the product is proven, the production line already runs it, and your investment goes into branding rather than new tooling. This guide explains how custom logo bags wholesale orders actually work — the logo methods available, why minimums sit where they do, what sampling involves, and what you need to prepare before a factory can quote you properly.

Logo methods and where each one fits

The right method depends on the bag's material, the logo's level of detail and the position you want it in. The methods offered on our custom order form cover the usual range:

None of these is universally better. A detailed multi-colour crest will push you to printing; a small monogram on a PU handbag will usually look sharper embossed.

Why private-label orders start at 500 pieces

Buyers sometimes ask why a logo order cannot start at 100 pieces like a plain order. The reason is setup, not the logo's unit price. Each method carries fixed preparation: a printing screen per colour, an embossing plate, or a badge mould has to be made before the first bag is branded, and the line then stops and re-tools for your artwork.

Spreading that fixed work over 500 pieces keeps it proportionate; over 100 pieces it would dominate the unit cost. At Bagevo, custom logos on stock styles start at 500 pieces per style — and the logo application itself is free of charge: you pay for the bags, not a per-print fee. Fully customised styles, where materials are bought and cut to your specification, start higher at 1,000 pieces per style with a 60% deposit.

Sampling: process, fee and timing

A logo sample is not a formality — it is where size, position and colour of the mark are locked. The usual sequence:

  1. You send the logo file and specify size, position and method.
  2. The factory prepares the screen, plate or badge and produces one finished bag (or a branded panel, for a quick first check).
  3. You approve photos or the physical sample, and request adjustments if needed.
  4. Bulk production follows the approved sample exactly.

Our sample fee is USD 50 per style, samples take 3–7 days, and the fee is credited against your order when you place it. Judge the sample on placement accuracy and edge quality — a printed logo should sit straight with clean edges; an embossed one should be evenly deep across the whole mark.

How the timeline is built

A private-label order has more stages than a plain stock order, and the lead time reflects that:

Payment follows the standard structure: T/T with 30% deposit to start (60% for fully customised styles) and the balance before shipment. Prices are EXW, so freight is arranged and charged separately by quantity and destination. If you are ordering against a selling season or a retail launch date, count backwards from the production window plus your shipping time, and add a buffer for sample revisions.

What to prepare before you order

A factory can only quote and sample quickly if your input is complete. Prepare:
